N2Net Community Outreach at Linuxfest

September 14th, 2007

N2Net will be sponsoring a canned food drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio Linuxfest on Saturday September, 29th 2007. The Ohio Linuxfest is the largest community focused conference for Linux and Open Source in the midwest. With over 1,500 attendees and its focus on community, the conference provides a unique opportunity for IT professionals, software developers, students and solution providers to meet.

N2Net has always had a strong belief in the power of the Open Source community to change the world. When alerted via YouTube to the fact that the Salvation Army was suffering a shortage of food and supplies for community programs, we decided to ask the Open Source community for their support.

N2Net will donate $250 to the Salvation Army of Columbus if we can collect 100 canned food items at the conference. Please sign up for our pledge on Pledgebank and bring your non-perishable canned food items to the N2Net booth at the Ohio Linuxfest on Saturday September, 29th 2007. The Ohio Linuxfest is free to attend, but registration is required. Food drives are nothing new, but they are done for a reason; they are needed!

Your support is needed and appreciated!
